Terminator 3-12
installation instructions for portable
plasma cutting units
- Install a ¼ quick connect
fitting into the dryer side inlet (1).
- Install a hose fitting of suitable
size into the dryer top outlet (2) and attach a
sufficient length of a pressure hose (3).
- Install a suitable drain valve (4)
into the dryer bottom.
- Locate sufficient space for the
3-12 (A) dryer on the back panel of the plasma unit.
- Locate the position for the holes
for mounting of 3-12 dryer mounting bracket (not shown)
so, that the retaining screws will not pierce, or damage
any parts inside the plasma unit and drill dia 1/8"
holes into the back panel to match the bracket holes.
- Install the 3-12 dryer bracket with
#10 self tapping screws.
- Insert 3-12 dryer into the bracket
strap (5) so that the side inlet fitting is in a suitable
orientation above the strap and tighten the strap.
- Trim and attach pressure hose (3)
to the air regulator (B) intake port fitting by a hose
clamp.
- Extend the drain valve by a hose
(6) to discharge dryer below the cooling fan air intake
(D) and fasten the hose end to the body.
- The line pressure to the Terminator
3-12 dryer must not exceed 110 Psi. If the line maximum
pressure exceeds 110 psi, a reducing valve has to be
installed before the 3-12 dryer.
- The stainless steel plasma mounting
bracket for Terminator 3-12 is available (extra).
- Fittings and/or valves must be
supplied by the installer.
Service
instructions
Terminator 3-12
dryer is maintenance free except for bleeding off of collected
water and/or sludge. Its bleeding frequency depends on ambient
conditions and duration of use, but once a day at the beginning
of the shift is usually sufficient. Use same precautions as when
bleeding your compressor tank.
