TERMINATOR
AIR DRYERS
The maintenance free SDK Terminator developed and made in Canada is a turbulent dryer (liquid separator) representing a very simple, yet very effective means for removal of water condensation and water mist from compressed air streams.
Our low pressure-drop dryers offer unquestionable dependability at an affordable price as well as an easy in line installation and unlimited life expectancy under normal operating conditions. Yet, they do not require any consumable parts, cleaning, or any other maintenance, except for bleeding off of the captured water, which can be automated with a timer valve.

Pre-drying
The
SDK Terminator is also very suitable as a pre-dryer for desiccant
dryers, preventing liquid water mist from the compressor and the
eventual condensation from the line to enter into the desiccant.
It removes part of the water content and saves on maintenance
time needed to replace and dry the desiccant and it saves on
energy needed to dry it.
It is also advantageous as a pre-dryer for refrigerated air
dryers. Water, which did not enter the dryer, does not have to be
removed. This may save on downtime limiting occasional freeze ups
and it certainly saves on energy consumption.
Tool Support
Terminator 4-16 air
dryer will easily support up to 8 hand held power tools such as
chipping hammers, polishers, buffers or grinders etc. In other
terms, it will serve any quantity and combination of tools, which
can be steadily supported by a 50 HP compressor output.
Terminator 3-12 air dryer will support up to two portable plasma
cutters, up to three spray guns, or power tools such as hand held
chipping hammers, polishers, buffers or grinders etc. In other
terms, it will serve any quantity and combination of tools, which
can be steadily supported by a 20 HP compressor.
Operation
We recommend to blow off possible water condensation from the lines past the Terminator dryer before commencing work, if it should ever happen, even though the long term experience does not show that it ever does. When the lines have not been in use for a day or more under severe ambient condition changes, they may contain a marginal amount of condensed water. This is definitely not necessary during the shift, even if the dryer is in an intermittent use.

Limitation of Application
The SDK Terminator
is not recommended for use with intermittent air draw equipment
like pneumatic nailers, air clutches, air actuators etc.
The SDK Terminator is suitable for spray guns, grinders,
polishers, jackhammers, sandblasters, plasma cutters and similar,
where the tools or equipment draw a continuous air flow through
the dryer.
This unit will remove a marginal portion of humidity from the
compressed air stream, but it is not suitable as a dehumidifier.
This will be another development.
